Stage lighting design is a compulsory course for every stage lighting designer

First of all, stage lighting designers must have professional electrical knowledge, should quickly and accurately handle sudden lighting conditions during the performance, and need to know the models and numbers of lighting equipment used in the performance before the performance begins, and make a good budget for the lighting costs in the stage performance, so as to lay the foundation for the success of the performance. Secondly, during the stage performance, the color, strength and other conditions of the light have a strong suggestive effect on the actors and the audience. For example, cold light can imply desolation, while hot light implies unity and harmony. Therefore, the lighting designer should be proficient in the sense of hierarchy of the program, use appropriate lighting to render the stage atmosphere in time, and drive the audience's interest. Finally, during the performance, an excellent lighting designer can accurately use the light sources emitted from various angles to adjust the entire stage performance effect in time. For example, when the host comes on stage, the lighting designer should use ceiling and floor lights to show the host's appearance and other features from all angles of the stage. In order to render the host's excitement and joy at the beginning of the performance, the lighting designer can use non-directional soft lights (LED spotlights) to radiate to the corners of the stage, and use relatively concentrated hard light (LED imaging lights/chasing lights) to project on the host, which greatly improves the stage effect. In addition, during the performance, the lighting designer also needs to place special effect lights on both sides of the stage to set off the atmosphere of the entire performance.
